Ballpark Blogging

Today I was at the ballpark in Toronto watching the Jays crush the White Sox 9-3. Actually when I left during the 7th inning stretch we were trailing 3-1. Maybe I should leave early more often. Dustin McGowan (pictured) got the win.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Blogger as far as I'm concerned, Tim Challies. Check out his link under The Ultimate Canadian blogger. Tim and his 7-year-old son Nicholas were my guests and we had a great time. They were able to meet the manager, John Gibbons, Jerry Howarth and Alex Rios. Alex responded with a three-run home run! Thanks, my friend!

As we were planning for our day at the ballpark I told Tim that I wanted to pick his brain (about blogging and other things). Jokingly he told me that by the 7th inning there would be pretty slim pickings. That's why I left when I did! Just kidding!

We had a great day at the ballpark. I'm looking forward to reading Tim's first book on The Spiritual Discipline of Discernment which will be released by Crossway Publishers early in 2008.
