Precious Pilgrim Pals

While we walk this pilgrim pathway
Clouds may overspread the sky;
But when trav'ling days are over
Not a shadow not a sigh.

Someone else penned this verse of a beloved old hymn. Using the same melody, I've added some new lyrics.

Here they are:

So let's post our joys and sorrows
Leaning on His mighty arms;
When we lift each others' burdens
It will lesses our alarms.

Pilgrim pals along the journey
Praying for each others' needs;
Joyfully we'll look to Jesus
Grateful that He intercedes.

Sharing how He reached and saved us
Telling others of His love,
Soon our journey will be over
We will meet in heav'n above!

And here's the old chorus we know so well:

When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be;
When we all see Jesus
We'll sing and shout the victory.

  3. GREAT LYRICS - -- only "born again, washed in the blood" saints, can sing of The Redeemer like this - the Fanny Crosbys - humble Christians like the rest of us - but what WORDS ! they must be a sweet fragrance to The Lord -

    another day drawing to a close , we have this assurance, HE will be with us in the tomorrows - neat stuff , let's all pray one for another -

  4. Beautiful words! What a talent the Lord has blessed you with...

    Have you been counting how many new commenters you have, not to mention readers?! The Lord is really using you to bless others! I doubt anyone is missing my comments nowadays with this excellent commenter, Passing-thru, who, as my sister says, is not passing, but staying around the blog! Thank God for him, too!
