Yesterday

Good morning, pilgrim pals!

Here's a little secret for you to hide away somewhere. When you notice that I've posted several entries in one day, that's a good indication that I'm having a "bad" day.

Yesterday was one of those days.

Pain can render you "useless" in many ways. All motivation can be sucked out of you. You know what I'm saying because you've been there. Right?

Yesterday I stayed at home for the entire day. I wasn't able to worship with my family but, as you know from my post, I spent some time out in the "Back 40" and my spirit was refreshed. I chose to draw on God's strength when I had none of my own. He didn't disappoint! I was able to "mount up with wings like an eagle".

Today is a new day and it's going to be a good one. Matthew and Nathan are home from school today. Matthew's friend Alex slept at our place last night and we'll do something "special" today.

I pray that you will sense God's touch today regardless of what's going on in and around you.
He's a shelter in the time of storm and He's worthy of our praise.

Blessings!

"For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." - 2 Corinthians 12:10 (ESV)

  2. That's one of my mom's favorite verses..she quotes it whenever we go through any difficulty. I'll never forget when I was younger and we got into a car accident...the younger ones were so afraid and angry, and I was just trying to be brave, and was at peace with God. She took me in her arms after the whole thing, and she whispered that scripture in my ear. I remember crying like a baby, but I felt so much better after, because I knew Christ made me strong.
