Busy Back Yard

Today I was unable to get to church. My arthritis and bursitis (Arthur and Bertha) were acting up. I forgot to take my pain medication to work so I didn't get much sleep.

As I sat at the kitchen table eating my breakfast I saw God's creation (a marvelous collection of different birds) eating theirs at the bird feeders in our back yard.

Baltimore orioles, hummingbirds, rose-breasted grosbeaks, goldfinches, cardinals, blue jays, etc. What a busy airport! Almost as many birds as there are planes at Chicago's O'Hare.

God has blessed us in so many ways! Watching the birds come and go was another reminder of His goodness.

I pray that you'll have a great week! GOD IS GOOD!

  1. Oh David!

Everytime I think that I am caught up, I go back and there you have cooked up another excellent post!
With all the pain you are in, you still keep youself busy being a blessing to all of us!

I just love the picture of the oriole!
Bernie and I feed the birds all year long too.
We rarely get any of these birds that fly into you airport though, but we love the "common" ones just the same!
I hope that that Willow doesn't give them a hard time.
Shopper can't because we keep him behind closed doors!!
I love cats but they had better keep themselves away from my birds!!

Take care...Wish you weren't in so much pain...You HAVE to remember to take your pain medicine!!...From your Pilgrim Pal, Terry

  2. What a beautiful array of birds you have! You are very blessed, we used to have a variety (even an oriole on occasion), but not anymore.

Did you by any chance look into trying MSM or Bromelein supplements? I just gave my MSM away to an elderly lady on Saturday, and look forward to hearing how she finds it. It has helped me, and so many others, so much.

    Praying for you daily,
    the lil' Pilgrim Pal
