Garage Sale Freebies

It's garage sale time! This morning I stopped at my mom's place to discuss the garage sale we're having there next Saturday. Mom asked me to look through some books and to take what I wanted and the rest would be included in the sale. See the picture of mom and dad below.

This book collector was in his glory and picked up several gems. Some of the authors may be familiar to many of you. Others aren't so well known but I know them all and was glad to add them to my collection. I already had a couple of them but having two books the same doesn't bother me. I'm always passing books along to others.

Here are a few of the titles I brought home:

Commentary on Galatians by H. A. Ironside

Addresses on the Song of Solomon by H. A. Ironside

The Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee

An Outline of the Song of Songs by C. A. Coates

Her Best for the Master by Martha Snell Nicholson

You Can Witness With Confidence by Rosalind Rinker

The Saving Life of Christ by Major Ian Thomas

Into the Holiest by William L. Pettingill

Plus I picked up a few more old hymn books:

Songs of Victory

Christian Service Songs

Redemption Songs

Melodies of Praise

Singing Youth

Worship and Service Hymnal

Not bad, eh! There's my Canadian slang coming through. And they were all FREE!

THANKS, MOM! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Note: Today is mom & dad's 63rd wedding anniversary. Dad is in heaven but I wished mom a happy anniversary. They'll be together soon! Maranatha!

  3. I have a Redemption Songs book in my collection. What a grand collection of doctrinally sound songs . . . even though they are just in word format as I don't have the piano book. I love the one that starts with "The day thou gavest Lord is ending . . . "

Makes me want to dig mine out and start singing.
