Are We There Yet?

I love this old picture! Looks like they just pulled out of the driveway.

That means that about 15 more minutes will pass before we hear the first, "are we there yet?"

Aren't kids fun!

I should know! We have seven (7) of them!

  1. That picture could have come out of my childhood. I love your blog, may I put it on mine as places I visit.

  2. I like that photo, too.

Mr. Fisher, do you ever get to have all your children at your house? Because that must be fun! My mom is one of 10, and they never ALL get together, but when I was 9 years old, I saw 6 of the sisters together, and they were so funny!

Of course, our house is always full of children, besides those who live here! I will never forget the day that we had over a little friend who had a ped-day and her dad was working (he had sole custody of her), so we took her for the day. Then my mom offered to take care of a close friend's sons while their mom attended to an appointment...And one of us went next door for something, and "stole" our neighbor's baby girl for 20 minutes (we used to do this often when the children were really young to give their mom a break for a few minutes-- she loved it, and so did the little ones). Finally my dad came home for dinner, and found 8 children sitting 'round the table, plus a baby in a carrier on the floor. "Is this a nursery?" he asked with a huge grin. We all laughed, while our little friends (the oldest was about 7 years old) looked at him wondering if that was a compliment or not!
