Jim McGuiggan in his book, "Celebrating the Wrath of God" (Waterbrook Press) quotes an unknown poet who penned these words:
God loves to be longed for,
He longs to be sought;
For He sought us Himself
With such longing and love.
He died for desire of us,
Marvelous thought;
And He longs for us now
To be with Him above.
Can you fathom such love? I struggle to understand His desire for me! O that I might long for Him the way He seeks my affection!
