Bell Mobility or Biblical Literacy

Today I received an e-mail from my Grade 7 teacher (now that was a long time ago) comparing the Bible with a cell phone. It certainly gives us something to think about. Here it is:

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it as we traveled?

What if we used it in case of an emergency?

This is something to make you go..."hmmm...where is my Bible...I need it"!!

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill!

  1. Dear David...I WOULD comment if I could but only the title to your post is showing. I wonder why?

  2. Hi David,

    Thanks for visiting my blog.
The farm pictures were taken on my mother's (Karen) parents farm, its near Fowlers Corners. And I am employed with Dr. Tovich, who is in the Alexander building!

  3. Dear David...Things are getting back to normal a little..
No more split shifts for me so tomorrow I will be able to get to the post office!
Grace came through with Mr. Paisley's book and in the meantime I found a really OLD missionaries to Africa book. I didn't get a chance to burn any of Grampa Yades cds so that will come later!!
Have a good day and I will be talking to you probably tomorrow night...From Terry
