Eternal God, give us Your perfect peace as we face uncertain days (and nights). Give us the assurance that we are firmly ensconced and safely sequestered in Your everlasting arms. In the strong name of Jesus, I pray! AMEN!

  1. David,

As I read down your list, so true of the human experience, I recalled times of personally experiencing many, if not all, of these emotions and symptoms (thankfully not all at once!).

I am glad that God is God, SO UNLIKE us, yet so UNDERSTANDING of what we go through, and is filled with mercy and compassion toward those who seek Him with all their heart.

We used to sing some hymns...about Jesus being "the Rock in a weary land", and "a shelter in the time of storm". "He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock" is another line I recall.

Thanks for the reminder that when we cry out to Him, such as the simple prayer you have penned here, He's always RIGHT THERE waiting to cover us in His perfect peace that passes all human understanding.

I love your choice of words --- "firmly ensconced" & "safely sequestered". This is how we all long to feel. May we always remember that trading darkness for His alternative is always only a prayer away.

    Your friend, Diana.
