Your Memory...

Are You Losing It?

What was the name of that restaurant ?

An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen. The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, "Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly."

The other man said, "What is the name of the restaurant?" The first man thought and thought and finally said, "What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... the one that's red and has thorns."

"Do you mean a rose?" "Yes, that's the one," replied the man.

He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, "Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?"

  1. Now David...I wish I could say I didn't what you were talking about...but it's all too familiar.

I use to be embarrassed by these incidents. But after a while...I stopped being embarrassed or apologizing. Instead now...I forewarn younger folks..."this is a preview coming attractions...so get use to it".

At least I'm quite this bad...yet. Thanks for the laugh!

  2. David, if you liked that joke, you'll probably like this one too:

Jacob, age 92, and Rebecca, age 89, living in Florida, are all excited about their decision to get married. They go for a stroll to discuss the wedding, and on the way they pass a drugstore. Jacob suggests they go in.
Jacob addresses the man behind the counter: "Are you the owner?"
    The pharmacist answers, "Yes."
Jacob: "We're about to get married. Do you sell heart medication?"
    Pharmacist: "Of course we do."
Jacob: "How about medicine for circulation?"
    Pharmacist: "All kinds."
Jacob: "Medicine for rheumatism and scoliosis?"
    Pharmacist: "Definitely."
Jacob: "Medicine for memory problems, arthritis, jaundice?"
Pharmacist: "Yes, a large variety. The works."
Jacob: "What about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, antidotes for Parkinson's disease?"
    Pharmacist: "Absolutely."
Jacob: "You sell wheelchairs and walkers?"
    Pharmacist: "All speeds and sizes."
Jacob: "We'd like to use this store as our Bridal Registry.”

(My radio co-host, Darren Marlar, used that one on the air this morning! I cracked up!)

David, I hope baseball season is going great for you! :)
