Africa Nurse

Here's a new blog, Africanurse, I'll be following closely.

Christiane Fox
is a Canadian nurse from Nova Scotia who recently began her work in the South Sudan serving with SIM Canada. As my faithful readers will know, I too, have been serving with SIM Canada in our Scarborough office for several months now so we have a connection.

Christiane made the following statement
that resonated with my heart
in a recent post :

"As much as life here in Doro is good, it isn't always easy. But, I have been blessed by the realization that I am feeling, possibly for the very first time, true and genuine appreciation for the little things in life... well, here they are big things. May God give us the Grace and Gratitude to truly appreciate these things no matter what our circumstances."

God bless you, Christiane! We are praying for you!

  1. HI David! It's Christiane here... thanks so much for your comment, it sure brightened my day and was a blessing to my heart this morning. You sure can feel free to use that "quote"(for lack of a better word) in any way you like. I appreciate SO much your prayers for me and the team here - I feel so privileged to be a part of what God is doing in South Sudan... and we need much prayer. :) I do have an email address: christianeinsudan@gmail.com which you can feel free to use to contact me. In fact, if you'd like to receive my updates (every few months) and my prayer guides for every month just let me know and I'd be MORE then happy to pass them along to you.

Again thanks SO much for your support and encouragement. I'm sure our paths will cross down the road when I come to the office next (2010 :P ) Thanks for your work there on our behalf, it's wonderful.

    Blessings on you today :)
    Christiane.
