Going Without...For a Year

Recently I read about a guy who went for a year without using toilet paper. Oops, I should have used another word instead of "went". That pun was NOT intended.

Got me thinking. What would it be difficult to go without...for a year? I need your comments. Your insights?

Just mention "things"...NOT people.

To get you...and me...started, here are a few things that I would find it hard to live without for a week...let alone a year.

  • A good book
  • A Tylenol
  • A Tim Horton's coffee (even though I don't like them sometimes)
  • Lemon meringue pie
That's just a start. Send me your lists.

What couldn't you do without for a year?

  1. Imagine a year without a hopeful thought. That is what many people with depression experience for great lengths of time unless they get help. That is a depressing thought.

  2. My hair dryer and straightener. =) As well as any other beauty products like that! =)

  3. Good books, certain favorite dvd's, hot chocolate (or the occasional decaf), perhaps the computer, although some days I dream about taking vacations from it. And let's see... hot baths, country drives and my lawn mower. :) Those are the first things which come to mind. Great question! Blessings, Debra

  4. My books. My Bible. My medications (I'd prob'ly die & go to heaven). Hot showers. Washing machine. Hair dryer & hair brush (you'd have to see my hair to understand that one). Eyeglasses.
    Hope.
