Predator Fisher

FISHER TRADED!

Headlines we thought we'd never see. Today Mike Fisher was traded by the woefully inept Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators. I can only imagine how disappointed thousands of Ottawa fans will be. Maybe "angry" would be a better word. Fisher was likely the most popular Senator. Loved by all.

Now he joins his bride Carrie Underwood in Nashville which seems like an ideal situation. But...trades are always difficult. Mike has never had to deal with being uprooted but his roots run deep in his relationship with Jesus and he will weather the storm well.

All the best, Mike! We are praying for you!

  1. Hi David:
Duncan and I went to Rogers Arena in Vancouver last Monday to see Mike play against the Vancouver Canucks. The Ottawa Senators don't come this way very often and so we wanted a chance to see Mike. He scored one penalty and had a good game overall. Everyone knows that the Predators will benefit from Mike's gritty play. It was very exciting and the Canucks won. We sat next to a great couple of Senator fans and we had a good chat. So much fun all around us. Duncan had told me that there had been talk of a trade for Mike on the NHL discussion boards and sure enough he is traded. It will be a big change for Mike to play for another team. Knowing Mike he will maintain his charity services in the Peterborough area and so many Senator fans will wish him well and they will keep their eye on him playing with the Predators.
I wish him the very best and also to be with his wife more often will be great.

Best to you and yours David and please say hello to your Mother.

    Best from Jenny (family member)
