While I love much of the contemporary worship songs, there is something undeniably comforting about the hymns. And the shear poetry of those old hymns is something that is missing in the new songs! Why don't you take a survey, just for the fun of it, and ask everyone to submit the words to their favorite hymn. It would be fun to read them. The Faith Expeditionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02988997009704085565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9353755.post-1114182169827045102005-04-22T11:02:00.000-04:002005-04-22T11:02:00.000-04:00I love the idea of the "theme song"! My friend tries to get a group together about every quarter and she plays the piano and we all open our hymnals and we have a WONDERFUL time worshipping. Some little church was getting new hymnals so they donated all their old ones to her, so everyone has a book. She pretty much fills her living room with people and it is a glorious time! Most everyone there can sing, however, I don't let that stop me from making a joyful 'noise' to the Lord! Once I'm home I'll be able to sing in the front row!!! :)Pilot Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04837729230556423683noreply@blogger.com
